Community Builders
What is a Community Builder?
A Community Builder (CB) is someone who lives within one of the ICW neighborhoods to facilitate social and recreational activities for our residents. CBs are an important point of contact for our residents as well as being their neighbors. Community Builders receive housing as compensation for their commitment to the ICW community.
Christa Lindemer
Community Builder
Christa was a former Community Builder who has returned to be a part of the community once again. She is a social worker by day and enjoys supporting people to live their best, most authentic lives. She enjoys music, reading, exercising, being outside and connecting with others in meaningful ways. She also has two almost grown children who grew up in and around the ICW community. She is interested in social justice in general, the disability justice movement and creating a more inclusive and accessible world. Christa deeply appreciates the heart of ICW and feels grateful to be part of the group again.
Cole McFadden
Community Builder
Cole is a Community Builder with ICW. Cole grew up in Ann Arbor and went to Michigan State University, later finding a passion in plants and growth. Having worked with individuals with special needs for the last decade, he finds connecting and including people with those around them is crucial to living a fulfilling life. Allowing others the comfort to truly be themselves while sharing their interests and excitement means a lot. Cole also has interests in photography, soccer and music, which have all been his pleasure to share with the ICW community.
Aureaun Rias-Tribble
Community Builder
Aureaun is a Community Builder with ICW. She mostly goes by the nickname “Aun” and has a deep passion for being a part of safe spaces and community. Previously based in Detroit, Aun volunteered and worked closely with her local Mutual Aid & Disability Network which is how she was introduced to ICW. Currently she works as a Community Health Worker and loves learning and sharing any community resources she finds. In her spare time, she enjoys birding, cooking, and learning languages. Aun admires the community, care, and creativity of ICW and looks forward to all the moments and memories to come.
