Meet the ICW Team

Program Director

What is a Program Director?

The Program Director is responsible for maintaining the integrity of ICW. The Program Director is our liaison to all ICW community members, such as residents, their families, our Community Builders (CBs), our Board of Directors, all of the committees within our organization, and any families interested in learning more about ICW.

The Program Director supports our CBs and oversees ICW’s programming. They also engage directly with ICW residents by attending events and creating programming for our community to enjoy.

Who is the ICW Program Director?

Jarrod Wetzel-Brown (he/him/his) is the current Program Director of ICW. Jarrod’s background is in education, with a MSEd from the Johns Hopkins School of Education and a BA in English from Harvard College. Jarrod has worked as a classroom teacher in special education programs, an academic advisor in higher education/university settings, and has also worked for several nonprofit organizations that emphasize equity and inclusion.

Jarrod is delighted to be the ICW Program Director so that he can help our organization continue to meaningfully serve our community residents, their families, and anyone else interested in learning more about resources for their loved ones navigating intellectual and or developmental disabilities.

Some fun facts about Jarrod include:

  • He is a twin and very close to his family and friends!
  • He enjoys writing and has even published a book of poetry!
  • He loves animals, nature, art, music, and learning!
  • He is honored to be a part of the ICW Team! 😀
