INDEPENDENT LIVING READINESS INVENTORY™

ICW offers an Independent Living Readiness Inventory™ (ILRI) to interested families. This inventory was developed by the Center for Independent Futures® (CIF) in Evanston Illinois. ICW has been trained and certified to now offer this comprehensive inventory. ILRI™ “is an integrated evaluation and interactive assessment of a young adult’s daily living skills and experiences to help determine the support he or she needs to enable a successful transition to living away from home. During the process, the consultant will gather background information and observe the individual’s independent living skills through hands-on, experiential activities. This inventory provides a basis for making decisions as well as creating a blueprint of skills to be learned, experiences to be obtained or supports required to ensure a safe and productive independence”. FULL LIFE FUTURE PLANNING

Full Life Future Planning™ (FLFP) is also a Center for Independent Futures® product and is “based on the assumption that in order to live a full life as a contributing citizen, individuals with disabilities and their families must take the time to plan for the future and build networks of support around the individual to attain, monitor and sustain the quality of life envisioned. In this facilitated process, individuals, their families and other members of their support network are guided through a comprehensive six-session process over four months to create a picture for the individual’s future, develop a detailed action plan, and begin to take steps toward making that picture a reality”.
